Polarisasi Digital, Buzzer, dan Media Sosial Terhadap Perilaku Pemilih Muda di Indonesia (2021-2025) : A Systematic Literature Review.
Keywords:
Digital Polarization, Buzzers, Social Media, Young VotersAbstract
This study discusses how digital polarization, buzzer activity, and social media use shape the political behavior of young voters in Indonesia in the 2021–2025 period, highlighting the main problems in the form of strengthening opinion fragmentation, echo chambers, and the vulnerability of the young generation to hoaxes and emotional campaigns that threaten the quality of digital democracy. The main objective of the study is to synthesize the latest empirical findings and systematically analyze, through the systematic literature review method with the PRISMA model, 10 selected articles from the 2021–2025 range, regarding the influence patterns of digital polarization, the role of buzzers, social media algorithms, and the effectiveness of government regulations and policies on the behavior of young voters. The results of the study show three major themes: social media campaigns and polarization, the political involvement of young voters, and the challenges of regulation and digital literacy; From this, it is concluded that strengthening digital literacy based on democratic values, harmonization of regulations that have been fragmented, and collaboration between the government, political institutions, digital platforms, and the younger generation are strategic recommendations to suppress excessive polarization and build healthier and more quality political participation.
